Introducing Crab Creek Cellar—a sprawling 6,000-square-foot home featuring a vast, untouched basement that was ready to be transformed into the ultimate multi-functional retreat. Our clients sought a dynamic space for entertaining, movie nights, and family game time, with a serene bedroom and bathroom for relaxation after long night shifts. We delivered a custom-height bar and island perfect for hosting, alongside meticulously designed living room built-ins featuring cozy dog beds.

The fireplace, now boasting a whitewashed brick mantle, adds charm while maintaining the rich texture of the original material. At the main exterior entrance to the basement, we designed a custom mudroom with built-in storage and a bench seat to provide a seamless transition from the pool to the spa-like bathroom. The second-floor entrance is adorned with elegant board-and-batten detailing, and a newly designed railing brings light and openness to what was once a closed-off space.

The Crab Creek Cellar basement bathroom was designed with a personal touch to meet the unique needs of our client, who had recently undergone back surgery. To ensure ease and comfort, we crafted a custom dog wash station at the perfect height, allowing her to care for her beloved dogs without needing to bend over.

Every detail was carefully considered, and the star of the show, “Bodhi”—a golden retriever pup—posed perfectly for the final reveal! This bathroom blends practicality and personality, proving that thoughtful design can make all the difference.
