Building on the transformation of Laurel Lane, Phase II focused on creating vibrant, functional spaces designed for a family that loves to entertain. With three kids and frequent guests, durability was just as important as style. Thoughtfully selected fabrics and materials ensure these new spaces stand the test of time against everyday life—kids, pets, and waterfront living included.
This phase introduced dynamic yet elevated rooms that bring a sense of fun while maintaining a seamless connection to the home’s coastal setting. Each space was designed to embrace natural light, encourage gathering, and enhance the effortless, retreat-like feel of this Chesapeake Bay home.
This phase was all about incorporating thoughtful built-ins to maximize both style and efficiency. Custom bench seats, bunk beds, and additional storage solutions were added to create inviting and practical gathering spaces. The basement, though expansive, lacked functionality and purpose. Our team reimagined the layout, converting the home from a 4-bedroom to a 5-bedroom by adding a new bedroom in the basement for their middle son. Now, he has a space of his own—complete with a water view he loves—giving him privacy while allowing the family to better utilize the home for hosting and everyday living.
