meet the founder
I’m Katie Rainey, an interior designer with a doctorate in Physical Therapy and a passion for creating homes that are as functional as they are beautiful. With a deep understanding of how people move and live within a space, I design thoughtfully planned homes for families building or remodeling waterfront and mountain retreats. I guide my clients through every step of the process with clarity and care—so their homes truly support the way they live.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me staying active and enjoying the outdoors—whether practicing yoga, hiking or trail running, or snowboarding in the mountains. I’m a true fitness enthusiast and love sharing this active lifestyle with my husband, our three kids, and our golden retriever, Bodhi.

"When we inherited my late mother-in-law’s dream house on the Chesapeake Bay, Katie helped make it ours. There are so many places we love spending time in—from our warm and welcoming kitchen to our luxurious double shower that overlooks the water. Katie framed and arranged a gallery of our favorite artists’ paintings. It’s the first thing we see when we wake up.
