Katie’s design philosophy is rooted in the belief that beauty and function are necessities, not luxuries. With a doctorate in Physical Therapy and over 15 years of experience in the medical field, Katie brings a deep understanding of how people move, live, and thrive in their homes. Her expertise in human function and ergonomics sets her apart, allowing her to craft spaces that are not only beautiful, but intuitively designed for real life.
Katie partners with busy professionals and families who seek solace in nature—whether by the water in Annapolis or in the mountains of New Hampshire—guiding them through the intricacies of a renovation or new build. Her thoughtful approach ensures that every space enhances both daily life and the joy of living.
With extensive construction knowledge, she collaborates closely with builders and architects to ensure seamless coordination from design through execution. Her unique ability to marry creativity with practical problem-solving, informed by years of hands-on experience, makes her an invaluable partner in bringing timeless homes to life. As part of a military family, Katie has lived across the U.S. and in Europe, drawing ongoing inspiration from her time abroad and the diverse design perspectives she’s encountered along the way.

"When we inherited my late mother-in-law’s dream house on the Chesapeake Bay, Katie helped make it ours. There are so many places in our home we now love spending time in—from our warm and welcoming kitchen to our luxurious double shower that overlooks the water.
